Thane City FC, in association with the Rotaract Club of Thane, is gearing up to celebrate International Women’s Day with their “The Future is Female” program. The initiative is aimed at promoting and encouraging female participation in football by organizing fun camps across four locations in Thane on 11th and 12th March.
Aakanksha, President of Rotaract Club of Thane, also shared her thoughts on the program, stating, “As an organization that promotes youth empowerment, we are proud to partner with Thane City FC in celebrating International Women’s Day. This program is a great opportunity for girls in Thane to discover their potential and realize that they can achieve anything they set their minds to.”
Prashant J Singh, CEO of Thane City FC, spoke about the program and its importance, saying, “We believe that sports, especially football, can play a vital role in empowering women and promoting gender equality. Through this program, we aim to create a fun and safe environment where young girls can learn and play football, while also gaining confidence and building new friendships.”
The “The Future is Female” program is expected to attract a large number of young girls from across Thane, who will be coached by experienced trainers and mentors. The organizers hope this program will inspire more girls to take up football and pursue their dreams, both on and off the field.
