Keeping our vision in mind to put Thane at the forefront of India\u2019s football revolution, Thane City FC’s partnership with Southampton FC<\/a> was a huge step in the right direction. Saints having a global reputation of developing youth made this a perfect partnership for Thane City FC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Youth Player Development in Thane is at the top of our priorities and what this partnership brings to the table for us will help us make a significant impact in the region. Here are some of the elements that we will focus on in this three-year partnership deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curriculum Development:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thane City FC’s technical team will work closely with Andy Martino (Football Development Manager of SFC and also a FA Affiliate Tutor) to develop a curriculum that will take into consideration Thane\u2019s socio-cultural and other external factors in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The curriculum would have two formats. One would be for the regular coaching that happens weekly across the TCFC centers, and the other one would be for a full-time residential setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Player Development Pathway:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from just the technical help and curriculum building, the Saints will help Thane City FC guide players on their progress in the residential academy and together with our team, create a roadmap for the players to excel in their playing careers. This includes promotion to higher age group teams, trials with our affiliate clubs, etc. Our teams will also visit the Saint\u2019s facilities in Southampton once the international travel corridors open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coach Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andy will be conducting review sessions with Thane City FC coaches and the technical team monthly, to improve the quality of the training sessions and their delivery across our centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thane City FC will also conduct coach education workshops for coaches who are not a part of TCFC pan-India. The program will have both online and offline modules that will be delivered across 8 cities in the Indian sub-continent. Experts with vast knowledge and experience in the Southampton Youth Development setup will conduct these coach education workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regular Webinars:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thane City FC’s coaches, parents, players, physios, etc. will have access to the Webinar series conducted by Southampton FC along with a few exclusive webinars for TCFC. The topics would range from Nutrition, Technical Aspects, Tactical Insights, Parent Education, Player Development, Latest Medical Practices, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
