Thane City FC gears up for an exciting Thane Youth League (TYL) 2025-26 season, proud to be one of the top platforms for youth football development in the country. With a player pathway built on single-age band teams from Under-8s to Under-18s, TCFC provides maximum opportunities for growth and match experience. Both the Under-13 and Under-15 teams have a rich record of success, having won the District Championship multiple times in recent years. Their strong history includes undefeated seasons and qualification for state championships, confirming TCFC as a dominant force in Thane’s youth football.
Under-13 Preview
This year, TCFC brings four Under-13 teams: Thane City FC Red (Thane) (Tier 1), Thane City FC Palava, TCFC Navi Mumbai (both Tier 2), and an Under-12 (TCFC Blue) team led by Coach Sumit Barua, to give maximum exposure to 2014-born players preparing for next season TCFC Navi Mumbai, in collaboration with Soccer US, began its season with a strong 7-0 win in the opening week. Coach Gaurang Vengurlekar from the U13 Red team shares, “Our focus is always on giving every child a chance to grow. The competition will be tough, but our preparation, hard work and team spirit stand out.” The Palava U13 will be led by Coach Harshal Vairat (Honey), while the Navi Mumbai team is led by Coach Sahil Sultan, who train in Vashi and Nerul. After the Thane Youth League campaign, the team will shift its focus to the AIFF Youth League.


Under-15 Preview
In the U15 category, TCFC fields four teams again: TCFC Red (Thane), TCFC Palava, TCFC Navi Mumbai, and a development team of Under-14s set to prepare for next season. Coach Prathamesh Chavan, leading the confident Under-15 Red team, says, “The boys have put in solid work during pre-season. We’re aiming high, not just for the TYL trophy but also for a strong AIFF Youth League campaign.” The Under-14 squad that will participate in the Tier 1 will be led by Coach Adnan Sayyed and will have a maximum of 2012-born players to prepare them for the next season. Coach Zahid Khan will be coaching the Under-15 Palava team, and Coach Prashant Verma will be in charge of the Under-15 Navi Mumbai team, which also trains in Vashi and Nerul. With four teams, Thane City FC aims to provide maximum opportunity for players to grow and develop by gaining valuable experience in the District League.
